Tax sale overages are the extra money left over when a property is sold at a tax sale auction for more than the amount of back taxes owed on the property.
Our Process & Service System
Set An Appointment
STEP 1:
Once you have decided to work with us. We set an appointment to go over the paperwork over the phone. It is required that you sign all documents needed in order to file unclaimed funds on your behalf. A notary will come out to you to have all signatures verified and recorded.
Open Unclaimed Fund Cases
STEP 2:
After all paperwork and signatures have been filed we submit claims to various government agencies to verify the validity of the unclaimed funds. Depending on the county, city, or state it can take up to 3-4 months for a response. Once we have received a response from the agency and all paperwork is filed and approved. We wait for the PAYDAY.....
Funding
STEP 3:
Once we receive an approval from all the agencies AND the estimated time to receive a check. We will contact you with that information and submit a check based on the agreed terms in our contract; which will be 30 days from the date check arrives in our office.
Our Fee
OUR CONTINGENCY FEE
Our firm works on a contingent basis - there are no out-of-pocket expenses to you. We're paid ONLY upon successful collection of your claim. We cover ALL expenses related to the claim until it is paid, and if the claim is unsuccessful you owe us nothing.
After receiving our paperwork package, we will send a local notary to collect it from you and overnight it back to our office. Claims are usually processed in 3-4 months depending on the complexity of the case, and your share of the claim, typically 60% of the funds collected, are remitted to you within 30 days of receipt.
